This is probably not the best day of your life, so finding a way out of trouble QUICKLY and SAFELY is where we come in.   And you don't need some unknown company sent from 20 miles away calling you in an hour and asking for directions all over again.   When you call  anyone else, chances are good that you're dealing with a directory service that's simply going to try to connect you with anyone who might be available at that moment, regardless of the cost, their equipment or how far they might be away from you.  That means they won't care about the price you ultimately pay, they may not care about the quality of service, and they probably won't suffer if they take their time getting to you!

FAST & RELIABLE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE : What does that mean?
Whether you live in the area or are just passing through Cincinnati you know full well how traffic on the city’s interchanges and highways can come to a crawl during rush hour.  When that happens, it can be especially tough on your vehicle.  Overheating, running out of gas, a fender bender that triggered a fuel cutoff switch - it can really be anything that on the surface might be a simple inconvenience in retrospect, but in the moment you're feeling helpless.   When that happens, we've got your back.   One phone call and we'll be on our way to help you get moving again.   Gas delivery, tire issues, lockouts, whatever your situation happens to be, we can usually resolve it and get you on your way relatively easily.

QUICK GUIDE:  What should you do when your vehicle becomes disabled on the freeway?Speaking from 100% experience here:  I was on my way home from the airport late one evening after the last flight in to Cincinnati.   Route 75 was under construction and as I was driving along a section of two lanes with ZERO BERM and concrete barriers on either side of the road.  "BAM!"  suddenly my car went dead, no ability to accelerate, the car was dead.   I quickly checked my rear view mirror and thought, "This is it...I'm going to get rear ended by a semi on 75!   I got my little BMW convertible as close to the edge of the road as possible, but most of my car was still in the right side driving lane.   One more quick check and when no cars were whizzing past me, I leapt out of the car and hurtled myself over the 4-5 foot tall concrete barrier and said goodbye to my car thinking it was doomed to be smashed.

Long story short, the car made it.   A highway patrolman was on the scene within minutes of my calling 911 and tow truck was there shortly after.  The car was towed to a safe parking lot just a mile away.   Apparently the construction they were doing on 75 resulted in a road surface failure and one 2 foot wide section of freeway complete collapsed the second my car ran over it.  Perfect timing, I guess.  The incident resulted in my front right wheel completely splitting in two.   The impact caused the fuel cut off switch to trigger and the car was immediately undriveable.   Change a tire (and wheel) and reset the switch, and I drove home that night!

So here is my advice for anyone on the freeway.  First, if at all possible, get to the side of the road, or better yet, to an exit lane and get to the berm.  Next, turn on your emergency flashers.  Next, avoid exiting your vehicle on the side of traffic unless, like my situation, there's no other choice  (the passenger door was blocked by a concrete wall!) or you deem that it is completely safe.  Again, only if you are not in danger of being struck (vehicle in a lane of traffic), raise the hood of the vehicle.   While it sounds odd, especially if you are stopped due to no gas or a flat tire...the raised hood will signal drivers that your car is disabled.    DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE ON YOUR OWN ON THE FREEWAY WITH NO ONE LOOKING OUT FOR YOU.   Inattentive drivers routinely drift onto the berm for any number of reason causing terrible statistics...you should become one!  Even changing a tire, while a fairly quick mundane task, can result in serious injury or death due to inattentive drivers....we've all seen them...NEVER TRUST that the next driver to pass your car won't be one of them!

Call 911 if you believe your situation is an emergency or is or could cause a traffic issue.   If you are safe, your vehicle is safely off the road and you simply need assistance, that's when you call us.  Remember, your safety and the safety of your passengers as well as other travelers comes first.   Your car is essentially metal and plastic.  It can be replaced...you can't be.

QUICK GUIDE:  What should you do if you're in a rental that becomes disabled?Believe it or not, this is one of the first things I check when signing the bottom line of a rental agreement, very few people take a moment to become familiar with the rental company's policy and procedures in the event of a vehicle becoming disabled.   Some rental car companies will require that you contact them immediately after securing yourself and the vehicle.  Other's simply request that you contact them at any point during or after your rental term and provide them with the details of the incident so that if there is an issue they can address it or so that they can reimburse you for any issue that is unrelated to your handling or use of the rental vehicle.

To avoid unnecessary charges and/or to become eligible for something that could potentially be reimbursable, make sure you know and follow the rules provided by the rental company either in the rental agreement or as part of their corporate policy.
